The Lineage

Tracing the
Bronze Legacy

In 1984, the legendary Gérald Genta unveiled the Gefica Safari, the first luxury watch forged in bronze. It was a functional choice—non-reflective and matte, designed to vanish in the wild.

Decades later, in 2011, Panerai ignited a global phenomenon with the Bronzo (PAM00382), proving that collectors craved more than static perfection; they craved a watch that changed with them.

At Oryntis, we stand on the shoulders of these pioneers. Our Bronze Diver is a tribute to that maritime heritage, combining historical inspiration with accessible modern luxury.

The Patina Journey Begins

The Material Science

Mastery of
CuSn8 Bronze

“Unlike industrial steel, marine-grade tin bronze reacts to its environment. This oxidation creates a rich, atmospheric patina unique to you.”

Our bronze is a living alloy of copper and tin. Every environmental encounter—from the salt of the sea to the chemistry of your skin—adds a layer of character to the case.

Inside, the **Japan NH35 Automatic movement** winds itself with every wrist motion, ensuring that while the exterior evolves, the precision remains eternal.

The NH35 is solid, but the case finish is what really shines. Comparable to microbrands costing twice as much.

A bronze watch is a commitment to character. Here is everything you need to know about the science of patina and the care of your automatic Diver.

The Patina Science

Patina is a natural oxidation layer that forms as the CuSn8 bronze reacts with oxygen and moisture. It acts as a protective shield against corrosion, producing deep chocolate and turquoise hues unique to your environment.

Routine Maintenance

Wipe your timepiece with a dry microfiber cloth daily to remove oils. After saltwater exposure, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. Bronze is softer than steel—handle with care to preserve the sharp case edges.

Restoring the Luster

If you prefer the original warm gold luster, create a mild paste of baking soda and lemon juice. Apply gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and dry. This resets the patina journey to day one.

Automatic Precision

The Japan NH35 is a mechanical workhorse. Expect a variance of -20 to +40 seconds per day—this is the soul of a machine with no battery, powered entirely by your movement.
